Dr. Conant attended Kansas University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita before coming to Smith Center in 1989. Dr. Conant began his practice in Smith County in 1989. He and his wife of 40 years, Cris, have one son, one daughter and four grandchildren.
Hannah Haack, M.D.
Dr. Haack grew up in Stockton, KS. She attended Medical School at Kansas University and completed her residency at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. In 2014 Dr. Haack relocated to Smith Center with her husband of seven years, Matt and their children Isaiah, Janae and Nathaniel.
Justin Overmiller, M.D.
Dr. Overmiller graduated from Tabor College. He completed Medical School at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and his residency at Smoky Hill Family Medicine. Dr. Overmiller began his practice in Smith County in 2008. Born and raised in Smith County, he is a true local and now resides here with his wife, Beca, and his sons Wyatt and Jackson.
Leah Wiehl, M.D.
Dr. Wiehl, a native of Kensington and a graduate of West Smith County High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kansas State University, and received a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Kansas School of Medicine. Following her medical education, Dr. Wiehl completed residency training in Family Medicine at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Wiehl is married to Joe Wiehl of Smith Center.
Perry Desbien, APRN
Perry Desbien has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. He started his career as an EMT before completing a BSN from Wichita State University. After three years as a nurse, Perry went back to Wichita State to complete an MSN-FNP. He, his wife Kendra and their six children live in Smith Center.
Jill Kuhlmann, APRN
Jill Kuhlmann has a wide variety of experience and has worked in healthcare for her entire career. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Washburn University and worked as a labor and delivery nurse while completing an MSN at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Jeff Parsons, APRN
Jeff Parsons earned an MSN-FNP from Simmons University in Boston while working as an RN at Hays Medical Center. He has experience in inpatient, outpatient and ER settings.
Tammy Windscheffel, APRN
Tammy started as a nurse with SCMH in 1977. Twenty years after finishing her nursing degree at Fort Hays State University, she continued with her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. Tammy has been an APRN with SCMH since 1996. She lives in Smith Center with her husband John. The couple have three children and two grandchildren.
Wini Schaedel, APRN
Wini is our Diabetes Consultant. She has been working with Diabetes patients for more than 25 years. She joins the Medical Staff at Smith County Family Practice two days a month. Wini and her husband Robert, a retired Lutheran Minister, live near Lincoln, Nebraska close to their children, Chris and Susan, and their families.
