Smith County Memorial Hospital is excited to share it received a $74,850 grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce through the Delivering Residents and Workforce (DRAW) program. The funds will be used to train staff, acquire workforce functional capacity assessment equipment, and for marketing efforts to attract talent to North Central Kansas. Smith County Economic Development and Smith County Memorial Hospital each added $12,475 in matching funds to bring in-depth supervisor and management training to Smith County.
“By investing in our workforce through this DRAW grant, the Kansas Department of Commerce is investing in individuals and the vitality of our entire community. The skills and knowledge gained from these funds empower individuals to contribute to the growth and success of our community as a whole,” said Sarah Ragsdale, Chief Operating Officer.
