Smith County Memorial Hospital’s annual report for 2020 is now available. We have all experienced challenges over the last year and happy to have a reminder of all the good that has come from our pandemic response to our persistence in learning and growing as healthcare workers. SCMH’s defines its mission as “setting the standard of excellence in healthcare for North Central Kansas.” This issue of Health Beat celebrates our successes over the past year and points out areas for opportunity to continue our efforts. You will find stories about our continued efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, distribute the vaccine, plan for emergency c-sections, prepare staff for career growth and more.
